Quality Standards

Quality Standards Minimum Standards of accommodation and catering establishments are laid down by Eastbourne Borough Council (EBC) and Eastbourne Hotels' Association (EHA).

Establishments which currently hold at least 2 Diamonds (Guest Accommodation) or 1 Star (Hotels) with the AA, RAC or ETC may not require further inspection.

Establishments without these awards will be inspected, on initial application, by a representative of the relevant authority (EBC or EHA). Applicants should ensure their premises comply with the official standards to avoid a further inspection charge.

Subsequent inspections will be carried out annually.
