Become Member

FULL MEMBERSHIP

An EHA Member is .
a proprietor or manager of an hotel, guest house, self-catering, restaurant, attraction or other establishment offering facilities for tourism within the Eastbourne district.
The Member may attend all General Meetings, Special General Meetings and Annual General Meetings. ONLY MEMBERS (OR THE ASSOCIATE MEMBER IN THE MEMBER'S ABSENCE) may vote at these meetings.
To join . an applicant for Membership shall forward a completed application form to the Secretary. The premises may be inspected (see Quality Standards) and a report placed before the Executive Committee. Voting may be by show or hands or ballot, and the successful applicant will not have more than two dissentients. If successful, the applicant will be entitled to all the privileges of membership once the subscription is paid. If unsuccessful, the applicant may not re-apply for twelve months.

ASSOCIATE AND SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP

An EHA Associate Member is .
a partner, or member of management, or administrative staff of a Member, directly concerned with the operation of the establishment. The Associate Member may vote in the absence of the Member at meetings and may sit on the Social Committee.

An EHA Social Member is.
a retired Member wishing to retain an interest in the affairs of the Association.
The Social Member may attend Annual General Meetings, General Meetings and Social functions, and may sit on the Social and/or Entertainment Committees.

To join . an applicant for Associate or Social Membership may apply to the Secretary, and the Chairman may authorise acceptance.

TRADE MEMBERSHIP

An EHA Trade Member is .
a supplier to the hospitality industry.
The Trade Member may attend Annual General Meetings, General Meetings and Social Functions, will receive a list of current members, may give demonstrations and exhibitions, and may sit on Sub-Committees at the invitation of the Chairman.
To join . an applicant for Trade Membership may apply to the Secretary, and the Executive Committee may authorise acceptance.

HONORARY MEMBERSHIP

An EHA Honorary Life Member or Honorary Annual Member is .
any person whom the Executive Committee consider merits recognition for outstanding services rendered to the hospitality industry.
The Honorary Member shall pay no subscription, and shall be entitled to the privileges of a Social Member.
